America’s Space Shuttle first launched in 1981, to this day the world’s only reusable spacecraft. The fleet consists of four aircraft, with Atlantis added in 1985. She took five years to build, and the most memorable mission was her rendezvous with Mir in 1997 that brought a permanent American presence to the Russian space station. Wrebbit’s foam 3D puzzle costs about $1 billion less than the original, and it does not require another $500 million for each mission. This shuttle detaches from its rocket booster and stands independently, and the rocket booster can be used again and again. Very difficult to assemble, instruction guide included.
